Three Questions

Three Questions

Once upon a time there was a traveler, who sought a seer in the desert. After a long journey, he finally found his tent, and entered.

‘I have three answers for you,’ said the seer immediately. ‘Ask your questions wisely.’

‘Are human beings fated in life?’  Asked the traveler.

‘Yes,’ was the response.

“But do we not choose our destiny?”

‘Yes, we do.’ Replied the seer.

‘Then how can both be true?’

‘I will answer your final question with three questions of my own.’ said the seer.

‘Alright...’ said the traveler, warily.

‘Will you leave this tent once you have your answer?’

‘Yes, I will.’ said the traveler.

‘But did you not choose to hear my counsel?’  asked the seer.

‘Of course, I did!’ said the traveler, confused.

‘Then how can both be true?’
